1.How do I obtain my real estate sales license?
Becoming a real estate agent is much easier than most people realize. Basically, the California Department of Real Estate requires that you complete three approved easy open-book courses that you can take by home study. The only exam that is not open-book is the actual state exam. You can complete the open-book exam process in a little as eighteen days per course and even become licensed in just a few short months!

2. How do I obtain my Brokers license?
In order to acquire a California Brokers license, the state requires that you do have some experience either in the field or with any four year degree. If you have only a two year degree, you must have to be licensed for at least one year before you can go for your Brokers license. You do not have to have any kind of degree before your Brokers license if you have been a real estate salesperson for at least two years. You must also take and complete a total of eight open-book courses that can be taken by home study. There are five required courses and three electives you can choose from. Most real estate salespersons who have been licensed for at least two years and are going for their Brokers license will have already taken real estate courses that will count. Many times a person with a 4 year degree has also taken and completed college level courses that qualify. (Micro & Macro economics, business law, R.E. law, general accounting, etc).

8. How do I prepare for the State Exam?
In order to study and pass the Sales or Brokers state exam, you should purchase and study a state exam prep course. Some people try to study the real estate courses and hope they will pass. The approved real estate courses are NOT state exam prep and will help you very little. United Educational Services has a state exam prep course called SUREPASS tm. Our SurePass course has all the state exam questions with the answers and explanations. You may call the school for more information or visit our workshop.

Yes. It is possible to renew your license in two days or less. You’ll probably need the courses shipped overnight or downloaded and the exam should be taken online. 15. I did not renew on time! Have I lost my license?
No. Finish completing the course as soon as possible. Your license in not gone, it is just suspended. The state actually gives you a two year grace period after your license expires. After the two years pass, you will loose your license and have to take the state exam over again.
